“Nothing”? Absolute rubbish, they can increase the degree of capitalism, openness to trade, and enforce the rule of law. Sala-I-Martin told me so.

How about, stop beating up on BRITISH Petroleum and Royal DUTCH Shell?

Diogenes – “How about, stop beating up on BRITISH Petroleum and Royal DUTCH Shell?”

And Toyota. Their politically-inspired persecution of Toyota for nothing, except perhaps competing too well with the government-owned GM, has been shameful.

    F… Off. Best answer.

Government throttles the economy. If they were to get out of the way, it would run wide open.

I remember a couple of years ago when they called the automakers up in front of Congress. All they did was berate them for flying in in private jets.

I was thinking that if I were a member of Congress, I’d get out my note pad and ask,

“What can we do to help you?”
