At Thursday’s ECB press conference, Mario Draghi unveiled plans to introduce a new series of euro bank notes.
Europium is that very useful little rare earth metal that is used to make phosphors.
Europa is the symbol of that ghastly nightmare that oppresses us called the European Union.
The euro is the idiot currency promoted by the EU.
And yes, the designers of the banks notes of the euro have indeed used europium to create the phosphor with which the notes featuring Europa are larded.
There is, out there somewhere, a piece by said designers where they hug themselves with glee at having been able to do this.

So, these will be the new notes up to and including the €5,000,000,000,000 note for when the whole thing finally unravels next year, I would imagine.

Is Europa that woman riding a beast that’s on some of the coinage, and is a statue outside the EU headquarters?
Isn’t there a woman riding a beast featured in Revelations?

Warren obviously watched “The Omen” on Sky Movies over Halloween. It features David Warner explaining why the EU (or “Common Market” as he puts it in the 70s) is a harbinger of the apocalypse.
