Apparently now it’s the freedom to do as I say not the freedom to do as you want.
The wife of the former Prime Minister also accused some young women of seeking to “marry a rich husband and retire” instead of working.
Mrs Blair, a QC and mother of four, criticised women who “put all their effort into their children” instead of working. Mothers who go out to work are setting a better example for their children, she said.

Ms Blair , from her own self-centered view, has a point. I would merely point out that children from any background who know they can depend on their mother to be there for them are less likely to perform anti-social actions, such as getting caught up in riots or being pissed out of their skulls in Trafalgar Square.

Lets be honest, with a face like that, doing it for herself was the only option.

Socialists believe that women should be free to believe whatever political philosophy they want as long as it’s socialism.
Otherwise they should shut up and do as their betters tell them.

So she’s exactly as bigoted as any sexist who’s beholden to the old “pregnant and in the kitchen” meme. File it with the “I’m all for gay rights but get awful quiet about their plight in Iran and Gaza, and will happily take Saudi money for my university” and the “I hate nukes but get awful quiet whenever the Soviet ones are mentioned”. No surprises…

Hmmm…. she’s going to get punched saying things like that.

Feminism and the doing-down of full time motherhood has been a catcstrophe for this country.
Family cohesion is so much better in this time of career mums and single parent welfare broods is it not?

I can’t speak of her younger two, but I’ve heard that her older two are twats.

Such as those who secure them fancy apartments in Bristol through dodgy contacts and then go on national TV weeping crocodile tears about seeing her eldest son leaving home for the first time? That sort of effort, Cherie?

Personally I can’t see what’s wrong with marrying a rich husband and retiring. I’ve been trying to do that for a long time now.

Nature and nurture on the hook for this one!

Frances Coppola – “Personally I can’t see what’s wrong with marrying a rich husband and retiring. I’ve been trying to do that for a long time now.”
That’s funny because I have been looking for a rich wife for a long time so I can retire. Failing that, a high class tart ought to do. No luck so far.
Which does not change the fact that Ms Blair is a vile horrible greedy did I say vile? little woman who I am sure many right thinking people think should sod off and die in a ditch somewhere.

And then of course there was that rather unfortunate family incident that no one is allowed to talk about…

Yes, isn’t it lucky that the neglected daughters of superstar career women never try to commit suicide ?
