Apparently there’s a new movie called Puss in Boots coming out.

Isn’t that a variation on Dick Whittington? So it’s about Boris again?

    Thanks.

I do a pub quiz every week and without fail there’s a question about new film releases. Hadn’t seen this one coming.

By coincidence, there’s a team of Labour activists who play in a competing team some of whom are responsible for that Ken Livingstone bus fare video. We beat them every week. Just sayin’, like.

“Puss in Boris” doesn’t seem to have quite the right ring to it however. Now Bor… no, I won’t go there.

    ‘Cat in Boots’ in Saudi.
Apparently the men in towels find the ‘P’ word to racy.

Er, no, it’s nothing to do with Dick Whittington. It’s a spin-off from the Shrek movies, which in their turn borrowed this particular character from Perrault (rather wittily, in my view).

    Am I spoiling a joke?

    Whoops, missed an ‘oh’ there….
Heaven knows what they’d make of that observation.
