I always remember one of my economics professors’ comment on Krugman: “His ego is not amongst the smaller items in the solar system.”

I remember an old professor of my acquaintance declaring “I have invented a new unit – that of overconfidence – it will be called the (to spare the gentleman’s blushes) the “X”… The normal unit of measure will be the microX.”
