Most of the best gags are on #interviewwithhari hashtag on twitter.

What is weird about this “story” is that it has taken everyone so long to realise that Hari is a bell end. I knew this from the very first moment I saw his pudgy face on Newsnight a long time ago.

Blue Eyes- people have known for years:

Private Eye wrote about his lies about taking ecstasy, about seeing a protester being shot dead in Genoa & talking freely to the Iraqi public before the war when in fact he later admitted elsewhere that he couldn’t get anyone to talk him, well hardly anyone.

A left wing journalist, Carol Lipton, at Counterpunch exposed Hari’s bogus claim to have interviewed a an anti-war “human shield”.

A right wing journalist, Jay Nordlinger, at the National Review noted Hari’s invention of facts about being on a National Review cruise.

He claimed to have interviewed a Palestinian terrorist who had slashed the throats of 4 female Israeli soldiers despite the fact that no such incident had ever occurred.

The man repeatedly claims to have interviewed people that he has not.

I had a brief exchange with him on Twitter once when I challenged him on his view that people shouldn’t be allowed to inherit money. I can’t remember exactly what he said, but it was something along the lines that everyone should start equally.

I thought this was absolute tosh and still do. I hadn’t really paid much attention to him before, but it made me realise he had some mad sort of socialist agenda and he shouldn’t be trusted.

So he’s not just dim, he’s also a crook. Ha!

    So much homophobia!

At least I assume that is the only reason he has not been sacked.

I’ve had a few run-ins with Hari over irresponsible journalism and failure to check facts. He has no concept of sensible, balanced reporting and facts to him are irrelevant. He nearly came a cropper a couple of months back when he confused debt with deficit and several hundred people had a massive go at him about it. It was only a matter of time till he hit the buffers.

The most amusing thing – well, after the #interviewwithhari hashtag – has been the number of left-wing journalists leaping to his defence…

Ironically, Ross is lying about Nordlinger above. Nordlinger says, “What he has done, it seems to me, is pluck our worst moments, and relate them in colorful and vicious prose”. In other words, Hari didn’t invent anything, and nor did Nordlinger accuse him of doing so. He just wasn’t very nice.

The accusation about that cruise seems to be one of quoting out of context. Everyone said something like they were said to have said, but Hari quoted them with malicious intent away from the wider setting.

    Irresponsible, but not criminal.
