So Don shouts at a newspaper and references an old post that I’d done on the same subject. Round and round we go as I point you to Don’s post.

Great comment there though:

Boeing has, apparently, decided that it’s okay if employees cannot afford the product they are producing.

    Much like BAe Systems. In both cases, this is a fact for which I think we can all be truly thankful.

    But almost all American understanding of their history is drivel – why pick on that bit?

    Actually in a sense they can afford Boeing’s products. At least the utility of them. They can afford to fly places can’t they?

    NickM – but this is true of nearly everything in a market economy. Eg, even if someone doesn’t own a car they still can benefit from it indirectly, say by tradespeople being able to get to their house with the needed tools faster, or cheaper food because the farmer has a tractor.
