Tesco has moved a step closer to becoming a full-service bank by signing up software developer Fiserv to provide the technology for its fledgling financial services business.
Everybody is saying we need more compeition in retail banking and here it comes.
But why do I have this nagging suspicion that those insisting that we need more compeition in retail banking won’t welcome this news?

Because “more competition” always means “more competition but not from Tesco”.
