Heatwaves that kill thousands, tropical-style storms and widespread flooding could be regular features of Britain’s climate within a generation if global warming is not checked, according to the Met Office.

Now go back and do the sums again looking at how many people are killed by cold each year and who would not be killed by cold in a warmer climate.

Damn it, you can’t ponce around waving a cost benefit analysis unless you actually cost out the benefits as well as the costs.
