Naomi Watts named as best value actress in Hollywood
The British-born actress Naomi Watts has been named as the Hollywood actress who gives the best return on the money she is paid.

Isn’t “best value for money” usually a synonym for “cheap”?*

*I know, I know, cheap shot, couldn’t resist.

Not at all; it could be “expensive but worth it”.

I have seen Ms Watts, quite a lot of her if she was the actress in Mulholland Drive, and I have to say I am with Mr Bennett – Tim Worstall ought to be careful he does not get a reputation as a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing.

By the way, is “British born” a euphemism for “Australian” or even “American”?

Kong didn’t make 3 times it’s budget. Nor did the International. Nor did 21 Grams.

If people want to judge a movie’s success based on an actress, then Naomi Watts isn’t doing a fine job.
