Ritchie seems to think that the golobal profits of the global financial industry are some $10 trillion a year. 15% of global GDP.

Anyone actually know the real number?

That one just has me gape mouthed in astonishment…..even at the thought that anyone could think it realistic.

I know you both like playing this little game but it would probably be better if you both didn’t pretend to not understand the issue. He thought (or pretended to think) you meant all profits, and I think you realise that.

Now why do you think it has to come out financial profits? I thought you were always telling us that tax incidence is not that simple?

I’ve been an accountant for half my life, but I’m not familiar with the term “golobal”, so maybe if you could point me to a definition ..?
