Police fear far-right terror attack
Given that we in UKIP are regularly described as “far right” are the suggesting a Provisional UKIP? The 63 County UKIP? Continuity UKIP?
Or are we just getting confused between what really are far right murderous thugs and everyday political insults?

If it’s any consolation, I’ve never thought of, or referred to, UKIP as being ‘Far Right’ – that’s a term I personally reserve for Fascists.

If I come across a group of people with bombs strapped to them waving UKIP flags, there are going to be some serious questions that need answering….

@Unity: but fascists like the BNP are far to the left of Labour … ????

Ordinary concerns about immigration and the rise of political Islam are now evidence of ‘right wing extremism’?
Hmm, I wonder where they got that idea from?

And I’m not sure there’s a lot to fear from the current crop of extreme right wing warriors…

I can’t help but think the case is actually “police and government hoping for far right terror attack”.

I agree Ian. In the interests of balance, they actually need any pretext they can get to pretend there is a mainly white, or mainly christian, paramilitary organisation.
The St John’s Ambulance Brigade, or maybe the Venture Scouts, would do.

Don’t you remember the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact?
The BBC then described the Communist Party of the Soviet Union as ‘conservative’.

@Brian:
“The BBC then described the Communist Party of the Soviet Union as ‘conservative’”
That’s because the dictionary definition of “conservative” means “disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change.”
The whole point is that the word “conservative” isn’t the sole prerogative of political parties that call themselves “Conservative”.
So when a pregnant woman goes into “labour” it doesn’t mean she’s about to give birth to socialism. When a person has a “liberal” helping of food, they are not necessarily speaking about Cyril Smith’s diet.
And most of all when someone describes a candidate as being a “monster raving looney” they might not necessarily be referring to membership of the UKIP.

Well actually they might be: he was a fat bastard of the first water.
