The ever-earnest former Bush speechwriter and current Washington Post columnist combines a Naderite’s grasp of economics with an Ed Meese-ian appreciation for individual liberty.

Think roughly Polly Toynbee’s grasp of economics and, erm, Polly Toynbee’s of individual liberty.
