Of course its all a complete waste of time. “Ever closer union” demands that if they Irish are stupid enough to say No then all that will happen is that they will be invited to either vote again, or totally ignored.

Do you really think it makes the slightest difference how the Irish vote?
You can’t really not know that most of the things the Lisbon treaty will permit and legalise are already being implemented?
