Primary school children should be eligible for the DNA database if they exhibit behaviour indicating they may become criminals in later life, according to Britain’s most senior police forensics expert.

This is laughable. Eligible? So it’s a privilege to be registered with the State?

Come on guys, Minority Report was a dystopian vision, not an operating manual.

    That’s extraordinary.

Every now and again I start to worry that references to Orwell are just a bit overblown. Someone usually pops up to prove me wrong. And so it is today.

    Bastards.

It gels rather well with the “thoughts” (if they can be so dignified) of a “senior policeman” who the other day decried the ease with which cheap flights are available to criminals and suggested that as a result, the European Arrest Warrant should be extended to cover extradition for questioning in connection with a crime - specifically where there is no evidence to justify application for extradition!

Maybe we should indeed just all don our sackcloth and ashes and queue quietly outside the nearest cop shop to be barcode-tattooed, fingerprinted, photographed and registered on the DNA database. Then we could gratefully pick up our permissions to work, breathe, travel and talk, and go meekly about our business. Think how much trouble would be saved!

We might as well volunteer our DNA now so that we can at least pretend we had a choice before they knock on our doors during the dark hours.

I particularly like the suggestion that we should have ‘an open, mature discussion on how best to tackle crime before it [takes] place’.

If a crime hasn’t taken place, then its, by definition, not a crime - debate over.

“…if they exhibit behaviour indicating they may become criminals in later life”

You mean, if he/she indicates to the careers adviser that their ambition is to become a politician…?

An absolute fucking disgrace; the sooner we see the back of these socialist control freaks the better. Then we’ll just have the other statist nutters to deal with.

If I didn’t know they were serious, I’d be laughing my ass of, as it is, I’m currently arranging passage for my niece and nephew to Iran, where there Human Rights stand a much better chance of being protected.

Presumably Brown’s children will be first on the list, I’m mean, their father’s a thieving cunt - it’s hardly setting a good example now, is it?

I suppose I’d best register now, as I”m going to kill the first government person who comes for my DNA.

You all seem to miss the point.
Criminals are the elite class of the future. Getting into a really good prison (for they further education) will be their main problem.
DNA will make sure that the spluttering lower classes don’t elbow into their employment.
Just as you all toil for the government now - so you will toil for the criminal of the future.
    It is already started.
