    On home energy, basically agreed, provided proceeds are dished out as a Citizen’s Dividend.

    Although, given the price inelasticity of demand for home energy, it’ll take a while before there are any results.

    BTW, the 200 year figure is based on very high prices (£9,000 for installing double glazing a terraced house?) and the calculations appear to be for rejigging old houses. For a new build, teh calculation is probably much more favourable (and probably even positive, i.e. a payback period of ten years or less).
